Westpeake Laker SH QAA***

It is with sadness to report that we lost our Laker in November 2021. She was taken suddenly and unexpectedly. So this has left a big hole at Westpeake Kennels. An athletic female of 30 kg (65 lbs) with super drive - great temperament and personality. She has been fun to train - good marker. Laker has had a successful working career achieving her Senior Hunter title and 3 Master Hunter passes with limited entries, as well as achieving Qualified All-Age status in field trial competition. Laker was laid to rest in our orchard along with other Westpeake Chessies.

Westpeake Maisey Ida MH

Out of our 2015 Jamie x Laker breeding, Ida is a very talented working retriever. Ida recently achieved her Master Hunter title. She is a special dog with a very unique personality. She's gentle and laid back around the yard and home, yet full of drive in the field. A fun dog to train. Excellent with people and dogs. Out of the bloodline that produced DC AFC Yakity's Shake Rattle 'N' Roll (Comet), AFC Yakity's Crackshot Ruddy Duck and AFC CH Fireweed's Poison Ivy. Ida is 28 kg (60 lbs) Unfortunately Ida has been stricken with a serious medical problem and no longer available for breeding.

Caroways Highcountry Gambler (Rock)(deceased)

We're sorry to report that we had to put Rock to sleep in September ('13). Passing all his health tests including DM, Rock has produced some wonderful pups including my Winnie. With an outstanding temperament and hunting drive, Rock was a great ambassador for the breed whenever we had visitors. We no longer have frozen semen available.

Westpeake She Can Fly

In response to Ida's medical condition, we were offered a puppy from an Ida daughter, Westpeake Ruin bred with frozen semen from my old male Rock. This has produced out latest Westpeake Chessie, our Fly. In early training, we don't have a prediction on her potential as a working chessie, but we have high hopes. She reminds us of our Winnie (above) which is't surprising as they are half sisters. A very laid back, easy going girl with a gorgeous deadgrass coat. A good big female of 32 kg (70 lbs) Keep an eye on this Westpeake female.
